ONLINE LESSONS and SMARTMUSIC FILES FOR 2012 ALL-STATE AUDITIONS
Free online lessons are available for 19 wind, brass, percussion, jazz and string excerpts and etudes. These lessons, including tips on preparing the material, are provided courtesy of MacPhail Center for Music and are hosted on their website.
SmartMusic files are available for wind, brass, and percussion etudes. These files may be used with a local copy of the SmartMusic software. [Warning - zip file is 864 KB. Suggest high speed connection for download.]

2012 ALL-STATE EXCERPTS: STRING AUDITIONS ( PDF)
Students will be judged on accuracy (pitch, rhythm, tempo, articulation, dynamics, style for the period and so forth). Bowings and fingerings in the parts are suggested and may be modified. For 2012 auditions, we are using Set C of the excerpts. These are on a three year rotation.
