What is All-State Camp?

Every year in early August, students selected for All-State gather to learn from world-class conductors, section coaches from top Minnesota music programs and their peers. All-State camp is an intense week of building musicianship, making friends and performing.

Important Dates (students MUST commit to both!)

Camps: July 28 – August 1, 2026

ALL All-State Ensembles (Choirs, Bands, and Orchestra) at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN

Cost and Financial Aid

The All-State cost for 2026 is $970. Scholarships and payment plans are available. The scholarship application deadline is Thursday, April 30th, by 11:59PM. Notifications will be sent out Monday, May 4th.  We encourage schools and parent groups to support their school’s All-Staters financially, if possible. Schools, Boosters, and Community Groups wanting to pay by check, please download the payment form.

  • MMEA is committed to scholarships, from partial to full, to ensure that accessibility is real for any student chosen to participate in an All-State Music Ensemble.
  • In 2026, All-State camp fees will increase from $870 to $970.  This is a $100 increase per student.  We want to tell you why!
  • We are increasing pay for section coaches, accompanists, and conductors as part of a wide-spread Board goal to pay music educators more‬ appropriately for the important work they do.
  • We must continue compensating for the rising costs of food, housing, and facilities for camp and the February experience.
  • NEW! MMEA‬ will have a nurse on campus for the health and safety of our students.
  • NEW! MMEA is adding staffing to support more robust communication with families and students who possibly need accommodations to participate fully in All-State.
  • MMEA is committed to scholarships to increase accessibility to the All-State experience.
