2025 All-State Auditions
- The Audition Requirements doc linked above contains any changes that have been made to the All-State Audition Requirements for all ensembles. Please make sure to read it carefully!
- Video Files are still required this year! The videos will NEVER be seen by judges. Students MUST have signs in their videos – please make sure to read the requirements carefully.
- MacPhail Center for Music has provided tutorial videos for auditions! Check them out HERE. Remember that you can subscribe to the MacPhail Youtube page in order to get notifications about updated video tutorials!
- See Additional Resources section (below) for more information about creating and uploading All-State Auditions.
Auditions will open January 1, 2025 and the audition deadline will be NOON (12 PM) February 25, 2025. We strongly recommend that folks aim to upload no later than the evening of February 24th, so that staff can be available to support any issues that arise during the workday on February 25th. This deadline is to help alleviate the issues related to audition recordings during Spring Break as well as giving our judges the amount of time required to evaluate audition recordings properly.
For Sponsoring Teachers: Enter the Opus Portal below to upload audition video. The event in Opus is called “Minnesota All-State 2025”. Make sure to be searching under all events.

- Since 2015, MMEA has compiled audition statistics for All-State. Every year, we update the document with the total number of students that were selected for an All-State ensemble, the number of alternates that were selected, and the total number of auditions for the year. The statistics are divided by category, then by instrument/voice part. New this year, in addition to overall statistics, is statistics by region.
