Winds, Brass, and Percussion Auditions
- WBP Audition Registration Form: Student should complete the form to provide info for sponsoring teachers to enter into Opus
- A video recording of each component below. All components must be a separate file, and each file must be recorded in one continuous take. Your video file cannot be larger that 250 MB – if it is greater than 250 MB, you will need to compress it! See Guidance for Video File Auditions for more information. The audition components are:
- Scales: Record the entire scale page in one continuous take for woodwinds and brass, no scale requirement for percussion
- Etude(s): Woodwinds and brass submit one recording of complete etude. Percussion submits two recordings, one for each of the two etudes required.
- 2026 WOODWIND ETUDES Set 1: NOTE: The sheet music says you can choose either ending, but that is incorrect. Please use the ending that we indicate for each instrument on auditionsolos.com for your etude.
- 2026 BRASS ETUDES Set 1: NOTE: The sheet music says you can choose either ending, but that is incorrect. Please use the ending that we indicate for each instrument on auditionsolos.com for your etude.
- 2026 PERCUSSION ETUDES Set 1: Mallet etude may be played on any mallet percussion instrument.
